Installation Instructions

PostMaster+ outperforms any other fence post, providing a lifetime of structure and beauty.

Every wood fence job is different in shape, size, material, and soil conditions. Fence contractors use two different methods for installation of PostMaster+:

  • Set in concrete (instructions below for setting in concrete).
  • Use professional post driver equipment to install.

Post-driven PostMaster+ posts, when installed properly below the frost line, provide the added benefit of protecting the fence from frost heave in areas with frozen ground. Both methods, when done properly, are the foundation for a strong fence.

In addition to a strong foundation in the ground, post spacing will also vary to local conditions and the wind exposure.

Post Spacing and Windload Chart

  • Exposure B is defined as “Urban and suburban areas, wooded areas, or other terrain with numerous, closely spaced obstructions having the size of single-family dwellings or larger.”
  • Exposure C is defined as “Open terrain with scattered obstructions having heights less than 30 feet.
