Aluminized Chain-Link Fence

Aluminized Steel is steel wire that has been hot-dip coated by the continuous method with aluminum-silicon alloy. This process assures a tight metallurgical bond between the steel wire and its aluminum coating, producing a material with a unique combination of properties possessed neither by steel nor by aluminum alone. Aluminized steel sheets have the surface characteristics of aluminum with the superior strength and cost-effective steel substrate and good to excellent corrosion resistance. Coating weight on the wire is based on diameter used: 6 gauge (0.192”) and 9 gauge (0.148”) with 0.40 oz./ft.2 aluminum coating and 11 gauge (0.120”) with 0.35 oz./ft.2 aluminum coating.
